Summer Rain is a painting created from acrylics and natural pigments on unbleached cotton canvas. There's almost a sensory quality to the piece: it conjures the smell of wet earth after rain, and a fleeting sense of the freedom and innocence of childhood summers.
From a distance, the leaves read as a quiet, muted still life. Up close, the psychedelic undertones emerge: maroons bleeding into purples, greens shot through with rose gold.
Threaded through the leaves are translucent shapes, pale washes and thin veils of pigment that let the ground beneath show through. They seems like openings onto a secret world of plants: the sense that beneath the visible surface of a leaf lies a whole spectrum of color that stay hidden from human eyes. The painting suggests that what we see is only a fraction of what's really there, and that stopping to look closely welcomes you to a whole new realm.
The foundation is made from natural pigments crafted by the artist from plants and minerals, and the raw cotton surface remains visible throughout, lending the piece its characteristic warmth. Layered acrylics build a space that feels alive and protective.
This piece comes unframed and is a one of a kind original acrylic painting that cannot be re-produced. Packaged professionally by hand.
All originals are shipped in very safe boxes by the Swiss Postal service or FEDEX. You will receive a tracking number and you'll be required to sign the parcel upon receipt.
Once your work of art has arrived, you will own the original piece with all the texture and depth of an original. However, I retain all copyrights and reproduction rights to my artwork - they do not transfer with the sale of original pieces.

Refunds and returns are only available for undamaged pieces in their original packaging.
Returns must be insured with the value of the painting. Please keep proof of postage and it's recommended to always send the item tracked. Items cannot be refunded if they don't make it back or arrive damaged.
