Palha
Price available upon request
This painting is inspired by the northeastern coast of Brazil, where vernacular houses are built with natural materials rooted in tradition and harmony with the land.
The roofs, made from the carnaúba palm, known as the “tree of life”, are suggested here through soft textures, woven patterns, and organic forms.
Layers of translucent shapes and drips overlap with fragments of palm leaves, huts, and a small fishing boat, evoking a place suspended between memory and imagination.
The composition blends figurative and abstract elements, as if glimpsing a dreamscape where nature and human craft coexist. It carries the sensation of longing for a distant home and the resilience of simple architectures that rise from the landscape itself.
